EDUCATING TODAY’S STUDENTS FOR TOMORROW’S WORLD

We welcome all students, teachers and staff members as we eagerly anticipate the start of the 2017 - 2018 academic school year. Dixie County High School has set a goal of Excellence in Every Area. We know the requirements of a 21st century education include skills in critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration, creativity and innovation. Only the very best educational experiences will prepare our students to be competitive in post secondary education and the global marketplace.

Students may choose to follow a variety of graduation plans. College prep includes Advanced Placement (AP) courses in English, History, Mathematics, Science and Music. Dual Enrollment courses are offered through Florida Gateway College and Embry-Riddle Univeristy. Several of our graduates have received their Associate of Arts degree before their high school graduation! Career preparation includes industry certifications in Agriculture, Aerospace Technology, Biotechnology, Information Technology, Health Sciences, Computer Programming and Welding. A student may combine both college and career courses if desired, or choose the standard 24 credit graduation plan.
Working together, we want to prepare our students for tomorrow’s world.

So please join our team for a winning school year and an exciting future at DCHS.
