EDUCATING TODAY’S STUDENTS
               FOR TOMORROW’S WORLD

After a great summer, we are eager for all of our students and teachers to return for another exciting school year. We hope everyone is ready to get back into the rhythm and routine of learning. We are especially happy to welcome 8th grade students to DCHS and look forward to their contributions as Bears! We are thankful to our custodial staff who have worked tirelessly to make Dixie County High School immaculate and sanitized as we start the 2021 / 2022 school year.

Our focus at DCHS is always on providing the best academic opportunities and safe learning environments for every student.  Dixie County High School continues to strive for Excellence in Every Area. The requirements of a 21st century education include skills in critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration, creativity, and innovation. Providing top quality educational experiences will prepare our students to transition competently to college, vocational, military, and career placements .

Students may choose to follow a variety of graduation plans. College prep includes Advanced Placement (AP) courses in English, History, Science, and Music. Dual Enrollment courses are offered through Florida Gateway College and Embry-Riddle University. Every year we have graduates who receive their Associate of Arts degree even before their high school diploma. Career preparation includes industry certifications in Agriculture, Aerospace Technology, Biotechnology, Business Systems, Health Sciences, Computer Programming, and Welding. Students also have multiple options for earning their standard high school diploma including the 24 credit graduation plan, or the 18 credit ACCEL plan.

Our goal is always to prepare every student to graduate and to be ready for the world beyond.  We want our students to be productive citizens who are plugged in to our community.  We hope you find that DCHS is a special place with caring people driven for success.  Thank you for your support.
